APSA at the WCPT Congress

Our Occupational Therapist, Kiran Seeboruth, had the privilege to present an Innovative Programme  on ‘Chronic diabetic foot which improves significantly through combination exercises that revive microcirculation and structured electrical nerve stimulation’ during the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) Congress.

This event was held at the beginning of July in South Africa which regrouped physical therapists from around the world and enabled them to interact with International  Leaders in the given field.

This year, The International Scientific Committee (ISC) of the WCPT Congress had received over 1600 submitted  papers. Following the review process, the Committee selected and invited APSA to present its programme.

Note that this programme was conducted from July 2013 to December 2013 by Kiran Seeboruth in collaboration with Shenu Zacharia, an Indian neuro-physiotherapist as well as a volunteer at APSA.

Founded in 1951, the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) is the sole international voice for physical therapy, representing more than 350,000 physical therapists worldwide. WCPT hold congress every 4 years.
