Excellent News… The radio program “Pran Ou Diabet En Main” (PODEM), which was previously a bimonthly one, is now being broadcast on a weekly basis on Radio One. The audience can listen to it every Wednesday between 10:30am and 11:00am. Each Sunday, the show is also broadcasted again on the website of Radio One – www.r1.mu.
Since the last 3 years, PODEM has been doing well and has acquired loyal listeners, being one of the main reasons for the new weekly schedule. Various themes related to Diabetes such as diabetic foot, insulin, cardiovascular diseases, neuropathy, nephropathy amongst others are constantly being addressed. In addition, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) fighting against diabetes, representatives from both public and private health institutions are invited on the sets to talk about their services, initiatives and experiences on the field.
The platform of PODEM is an opportunity for APSA to showcase its services to the public, including the forthcoming activities organised by the association, such as the next location of the Foot Care Caravan.
